Together with local partners, Varius Technologies and GSI, Bosch Security Systems has designed a complete and integrated security solution for the Dostyk Plaza in Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, and its main commercial and cultural center.

With a total area of 125.000 square meters and striking architecture, the Dostyk Plaza is a new development of great relevance in one of the most prestigious areas of Almaty. Designed as a shopping and leisure center, includes shops, restaurants and a cinema, as well as a business center and a parking for 1.300 Cars.

All these areas are protected by two modular networked fire arrest plants of the series 5000 from Bosch with more than 3.000 fire systems. The modular design of these panels ensures optimized coverage of all current areas, while offering the flexibility to scale and adapt to changing needs in the future.

In case of alarm, specific information and evacuation instructions can be issued through the Praesideo digital public address system and voice evacuation.

This system, which has more than 1.000 speakers in 40 Areas, offers excellent intelligibility as well as being used to play background music and disseminate information.

Both the fire alarm systems and Praesideo are connected by an IP protocol to the Bosch Building Integration system (Bis), which acts as a central integration and management platform. The BIS provides central control and monitoring of all subsystems and allows a very efficient operation of the entire installation.

Also, the management system includes an interactive graphical map of the facilities, allowing the operator to accurately locate the source of any alarm and respond quickly. All events and actions of the operator are recorded, allowing the management centre to analyse the quality of the operator's work.
