The Q2901-E and Q2901-E PT Mount thermal cameras are the new Axis models capable of detecting the temperature of objects, ideal for the control of critical equipment in warehouses, power stations and coal reserves.

Axis Q2901

The cameras Axis Q29 incorporate temperature alarm and have two alternative lenses and a resolution of 336×256. It also allows remote control of critical temperatures over short and long distances. They are devices designed for outdoor security applications, designed in bullet format, in warehouses, power stations and coal reserves.

This range is composed of the Q2901-E and Q2901-E PT Mount models that allow alarms to be configured for different areas with the aim of alerting when the temperature exceeds a previously set limit. To make it easier for the operator, these Axis cameras offer visual aid, such as isothermal vanes and temperature localization to predict problems as it indicates problem areas before it can be perceived by the human eye and the machinery stops working.

Axis Q2901Thanks to the fact that it can be installed with a single cable and is powered through Power Over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), Q29 Series can be integrated with other existing security systems. Axis Q2901-E PT Mount is an alternative model that supports the RS485/RS422 port and allows the camera to be installed on the head of a PT motor. With its horizontal and vertical movement it sweeps a very large area in search of critical temperatures.

"Since we launched the first thermal camera, customers demand network cameras that are also capable of indicating the temperature of objects. The main applications of surveillance cameras is to detect intrusions, but also remotely control technical equipment, server rooms or warehouses. Q2901-E can remotely monitor temperature 24×7, eliminating the risk of overheating", explains Roberto de los Santos, Sales Engineer de Axis Communications.

The Q2901-E offers support for installation on walls or ceilings. It is also compatible with the manufacturer's aisle format, provides vertical vision that fits with server rooms or areas between antennas. In addition to detecting temperature, can also be used for perimeter protection. The Q29 series withstands harsh weather conditions and its housing protects it from impacts and vandalism.

The Q2901-E and Q2901-E PT Mount cameras are based on the Axis Application Development Partner program and Camera Station video management software. They also include solutions from the manufacturer Camera Companion, Camera Application Platform, Video Hosting System and Onvif for easy system integration and application developers to incorporate intelligent capabilities.
