With new features, such as uninterrupted network video surveillance and generation of video analysis integrated into the device, Pelco by Schneider Electric has announced the availability of its new Sarix Enhanced range with SureVision 2.0.

The manufacturer of video surveillance systems Pelco by Schneider Electric has added new features to its Enhanced line, comprising high-end Sarix fixed IP cameras (including the Professional and Value series), as network video surveillance 24×7, integration of video analytics into the device and compliance with Onvif's G profile.

As herve Fages explained, Vice President, Video Division, Pelco by Schneider Electric, "Last year we completely redesigned our IP cameras and now offer more than a hundred different models of devices., that place the Sarix range with ambitious and innovative systems throughout pelco's history. We added new features to Sarix's Enhanced line to meet the needs of our customers in the face of network video security challenges.".

Pelco by Schneider Electric Sarix EnhancedOne of the most outstanding features is the integration of video analysis software on the devices, that uses intelligent algorithms to monitor the various critical scenarios and environments continuously and without the risk that comes with human error, even in difficult lighting conditions.

All Sarix Enhanced cameras with firmware version 2.1 or later include eight intelligent video analytics. These tools identify potential threats captured on camera and send an alarm to notify system operators of anomalous activities., facilitating decision-making.

These devices use an advanced storage system to record videos, audio and metadata on an SD card, directly on the camera, and offer uninterrupted video surveillance, even if the connection to the VMS is lost. this enhanced functionality allows any vms that meet onvif's g profile to recover videos lost when the network connection is restored, which is of vital importance in critical environments, as an airport, where advanced storage is a critical part of the strategic backup plan.

Other advantages of Sarix Enhanced cameras, in their interior models, outside, Domes, box type and anti-valve, is the incorporation of SureVision technology 2.0, offering advanced capabilities even in low-light conditions, advanced dynamic range (Wdr) and high anti-brightness image quality through 3D noise filtering, that responds to light changes and improves tone mapping to maintain color accuracy and overall image contrast.

Pelco by Schneider Electric Sarix EnhancedThese devices offer up to two Full HD videos (1.080p a 30 Ips) with H.264 compression to optimize bandwidth and storage efficiency, as well as two independently configurable simultaneous video streams for critical applications, as in casinos and urban video surveillance.

As far as mission-critical applications are concerned, these cameras offer uninterrupted operation and fault tolerance, with operating temperatures ranging from -40º to +50ºC to work in extreme weather conditions, like the desert and the arctic. Dome models include IP66 rating (with dust and water protection), to mount them on the roof and allow impacts of up to 50J vandal-resistant.

All new Sarix Enhanged cameras integrate with third-party video management systems via the Pelco API and third-party software using the Onvif S and G protocols.
