The megapixel IP technology of Arecont Vision has been chosen by the MetLife Stadium safety coordination team in New Jersey, with capacity for more than 82.500 Spectators, to provide comprehensive and uninterrupted video coverage to all your facilities and fans of the New York Giants and New York Jets.

The video surveillance cameras of this North American manufacturer were installed to ensure full coverage of large areas with extreme detail and with the possibility of electronically enlarging live or recorded images, without affecting the real-time and continuous video surveillance of the controlled areas, discreetly and without altering the experience of the fans.

The new video surveillance system installed at MetLife Stadium has been designed by the North American specialist Corporate Security Services. Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras are managed using The Video Management Platform Genetec, a VMS system that is controlled from a centralized security control center in the stadium.

Arecont Vision's megapixel cameras that have been installed at MetLife Stadium include compact MegaVideo cameras from 10 Megapixel, located within the field to monitor external seating areas; SurroundVideo panoramic systems 8 Megapixel, to provide 180° degree coverage to all entrances to the venue, and MegaDome2 models of 3 megapixels with remote focus, remote zoom and extended dynamic range (Wdr), located in the security entrance areas of the stadium.

The key attributes to choose this solution have been "the excellent image quality to identify any activity and person, high frame rates to observe the action without loss of detail, day/night vision capability, lower network and storage costs thanks to H.264 video compression, and Power over Ethernet (Poe) to reduce the cost of electrical wiring", as pointed out by those responsible for the stadium.

Arecont Vision's MegaVideo Compact series cameras are available in resolutions ranging from 1,3 To 10 Megapixel, with features such as H.264/MJPEG dual encoding, high level of image refresh, privacy mask, pixel clustering to increase light sensitivity, denser grid for motion detection, flexible trimming and PoE.

The systems of the MegaVideo Compact series from this supplier are available in color-only configurations and day/night mode, while the SurroundVideo range offers a 180° and 360° all-in-one panoramic solution, available in resolutions of 8, 12, 20 And 40 Megapixel.
