ObjectVideo, Intelligent Video Solution Provider, and Vivotek, manufacturer of IP surveillance solutions, have signed a patent license agreement.

The intelligent video software provider ObjectVideo has signed a worldwide patent licensing agreement with the Taiwanese company Vivotek, manufacturer of IP surveillance solutions. Raul Fernandez, CEO of ObjectVideo, has pointed out: “We are pleased to have reached this global agreement with Vivotek. It covers our comprehensive intellectual property portfolio and is applicable to a wide range of products, including network cameras, Encoders and servers. We are fully committed to continuous innovation, licensing our patents and software, and the protection of our inventions.”

Owen Chen, President of Vivotek, has indicated for its part that it considers that the application of smart devices in the IP surveillance industry is fundamental. “We have been planning to implement video analytics on various models of each product line.. With these innovative algorithms available in our cameras, Vivotek would be able to offer more complete and effective surveillance solutions for the benefit of all members of the security industry.”

Earlier this year, ObjectVideo alcanzó acuerdos de licencia de patentes globales con la unidad de negocio American Dynamics de Tyco Security Products y con Sony Corporation. ObjectVideo has 47 patents at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office UU (USPTO) and international, along with others 49 patents pending at the USPTO and international patents in the field of computer vision.
